Jiri Barta is an internationally award-winning Czech stop-motion animation director. His films have varied widely in their use of material and subject, from the film-genre spoof The Extinct World of Gloves (1987), to the wooden-carved featurette, The Pied Piper and the social critique of The Club of the Disappeared 1989.
