A celebration of BAA award artists
Jerry Hibbert
Jerry studied animation at Ealing School of Art in the 1960s, joined TVC (makers of Yellow Submarine) in 1970, went freelance in 1974, and formed Hibbert Ralph Animation with Graham Ralph in 1982, making or contributing to thousands of commercials, and many title sequences, promos and childrens’ series. HRA eventually closed its doors in 2017 and Jerry retired from animation to his Gloucestershire home where he and his wife have a boutique hotel: ‘Thyme’ – and a flock of sheep. Jerry also continues to provide cartoons, illustrations and artwork at his leisure.
Provide a quirky quote or comment
After animating for well over 40 years, I look back and realise how much I loved my work and my life in Soho, but most of all I loved the people.
