Eve Coy
For many years Eve worked in animation as a storyboard artist and 2D animator on projects varying from commercials to series to Features and across a range of production techniques from 2D to CG and Stop Motion.
Working in the industry was a wonderful creative experience where she learned about many aspects of story telling and crafting. Eve is incredibly proud to have worked with some highly talented artists and directors during that time.
Since the birth of her daughters, Eve has wanted to work on projects from home and has moved into working as an author and an Illustrator. Her first author/illustrated book was shortlisted for The international Klaus Flugge Award.
Eve has also been twice highly commended in The MacMillan Prize.
What is your favourite British animation of all time?
So many wonderful films to choose from.
I’ve always loved The Snowman since it filled my childhood Christmases. I think though one of the most inspiring films for me was Elles by Joanna Quinn. Joanna is the most incredible talent and the way that she draws I find absolutely stunning.
What’s the best thing about working in the industry?
The people definitely and the charming breadth of imagination.
